Meet the Vaco Team
Will had an interesting and varied career prior to joining Vaco. He spent seven years managing sales and operations for a brewing company in the Milwaukee, WI area before moving into the technology sector. Following three years working as a Microsoft-certified consultant/developer for a specialized software engineering firm in Milwaukee, he accepted the role of business development manager for the company and served four years in this capacity. After relocating to Virginia, Will joined Vaco in 2004 concentrating on new business development. As the result of a strong relationship with a local national retailer, Will began focusing on assisting other major retailers with their merchandising and supply chain implementations, resulting in the establishment of Vaco Supply Chain Solutions in 2010. Since then the firm has continued to grow in size as well as customer base, while staying true to the initial goal of providing the very best resources and value in an honest and ethical manner. Will holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Wisconsin at Eau Claire.
Glen Miller is the Director of Operations of VSCS, where he is responsible for leading the Operations and Recruiting departments. Prior to joining VSCS, Glen began his consulting career 17 years ago after serving four years in the United States Army as a computer programmer. Since entering the consulting field, his primary focus has been on system design and implementation. Glen has held various positions with retail, government, and, retail consulting firms, including JDA Software Group, Oracle Retail (RETEK), and Circuit City Stores Inc. Glen has designed and implemented various applications systems for national and international retailers. He holds an associate’s degree in computer information systems.
Floyd Brown Jr. began his consulting career 17 years ago after working for various retail companies in Computer Operations Management roles. Since entering the consulting field, his primary focus has been on technical system design and implementations. Floyd has held various positions with retail, government, and, retail consulting firms including JDA Software Group, Best Products Company, Comarco, and Circuit City Stores Inc. Floyd has designed and implemented various applications systems for national and international retailers during his career at JDA Software and Vaco Supply Chain Solutions. Floyd currently serves as the Practice Director for Merchandise Planning at Vaco Supply Chain and supervises consultants implementing the various JDA Solutions.
Robert Heidt has been in the technology field for over 25 years, with the last 15 being in the retail and CPG industries. During this time, Rob held a variety of positions focused on delivering complex software solutions and business processes for companies such as The Home Depot, Retek and Oracle. He has spent the last eight years at Vaco as Senior Solution Architect and Strategic Consultant in the supply chain optimization domain. Rob holds degrees in both Computer Science and Psychology from Purdue University.
Eric Bachrach began his career in Space and Category management over 17 years ago, delivering real results for CPG companies, Retailers, and Brokers alike. Eric recognizes that technology and building best-practice solutions are key components to empowering the vision and needs of an organization. Eric serves as Practice Director for Category Management solutions, acting as Vaco’s industry expert in JDA Space Planning, Planogram Generator, and Floor Planning solutions. Along with his expertise in JDA Category Management applications, Eric also has a wealth of knowledge with other space and category management solutions, such as Apollo, Spaceman, and Galleria. He wears his clients’ badges as if he were a member of their organization—their success and satisfaction are his primary objectives.
Vice President, Business Development
Working in different capacities in retail stores through high school and college, Kent joined Canadian Tire Corporation in 1991. After successfully completing re-engineering and marketing projects, he developed their new store inventory program, and rebuilt their planogramming, floor planning, fixture approaches to support CT’s expansion and renewal. Thereafter he helped launch their online business, improve their markdown and dealer relationships. Kent then built a larger retailer execution capability at Claybrooke before joining Albertsons in the USA, running merchandise presentation, layouts, and store deployment. In 2007 he joined Galleria and consulted with clients before taking over business development activities expanded their US presence. In August 2015, Kent joined Vaco Supply Chain Solutions to lead business development for their “On Demand” Category & Space Management outsourcing services. Kent has published in several online and in print media.
Ginny Newell has almost a decade of experience recruiting for information technology, finance and creative marketing positions across multiple industries. She specializes in IT recruiting, having spent the majority of her recruiting career supporting both staff augmentation needs and a vibrant IT project management consulting practice for a Fortune 200 financial institution. Prior to entering the recruiting arena, Ginny worked in marketing and communications, performing copy writing, space planning and marketing support for a large Hampton Roads-based financial services institution. Ginny graduated from the University of Virginia with a degree in Religious Studies and Anthropology.
Vice President, Business Development
Dan Luttner leads Vaco’s reseller program for JDA solutions to the Retail and Manufacturing Industries. Prior to joining VSCS, Dan held both business development and marketing positions in supply chain management consulting firms Spinnaker and Plan4Demand. Dan brings a wealth of knowledge to VSCS including organizational change management, leading advanced planning systems including JDA, and process improvement of end-to-end supply chain planning. Dan holds a Bachelor of Science Degree and an MBA from Penn State University.
Director of Engagement
Todd brings over two decades of category management experience with global enterprises, and his software experience includes 15+ years with JDA Space and Category Management solutions, practice leadership, and business development including roles with SAP, Retek and Capgemini. Through his long tenure as a category management professional, Todd has focused on helping clients develop transformational merchandising strategies and has built a reputation for delivering results. Todd received his bachelor’s degree at Eastern Michigan University and pursued a Master’s Degree at University of Notre Dame. He resides in Grand Rapids, MI.
Chelsea joined Vaco Supply Chain Solutions in September of 2014, and she brings a wealth of office management experience within small businesses and private medical practices to the organization. She plays a vital role in ensuring that Vaco runs smoothly, including managing essential behind-the-scenes functions, such as the management of payroll, expenses, and human resources for consultants, client invoicing and correspondence, and continuous support to the sales and recruiting teams. Chelsea, a born and bred Richmond native, graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Virginia Commonwealth University.
